Ski or Snowshoe along the Dumoine River

Please join me for a winter outing to ski and snowshoe along the Dumoine River (north of Algonquin Park), as well as engage in learning about the wilderness that surrounds it, wisdom and stories of people that have travelled in this landscape. Accommodation: rustic huts (1 insulated, 1 not insulated) or your tent We will ski or snowshoe on old logging roads and in the backcountry. And we will be supported by a snowmobile that will transport our gear to the huts. This area is remote (outside of the cell phone range) and previous experience in winter wilderness travel is required. Cost: approx. $70/night. In order to use the huts, you need to become a Friends of Dumoine member ($40).
