Toronto Islands paddle

"Leave from Cherry Beach, cross the Eastern Channel, and explore around the islands (inner harbour - facing Toronto). Picnic lunch with option for a quick swim. We can also explore around Leslie spit, or paddle down the ship channel to the turning basin. If interest, we can go to Keating Channel pub for a beer and a bite afterwards

Note: You have the option to circumnavigate the island once the group paddle is done. Note it can get very choppy going through the Western Channel, with waves bouncing off the sides creating weird patterns. Can also get choppy all the way back on the south side of the island, as there is no protection. However, on a calm day might be fine, and many places to portage back to inner harbour side. "
