Other
Notes

We did a portion of this route in 2024. These are huge lakes. Weather (heat and wind) caused us to camp at each site for two nights, limiting forward progress, but making the expedition safer. Subject to weather conditions we hope to push a little harder in 2025 to get to the dam.
36' "montreal" canoe, fibreglass hull, oak gunwales. Can fit up to 16 paddlers without gear. A very safe boat. We have used it (and similar "north" canoes) for multiday expeditions: Lake Superior/Huron/Trent Severn. We have completed a self rescue in each boat size.
