Looking for a trip to the Hood River summer 2012. Any plans?
I met some WCA people in the Elora Gorge on Sunday June 19th and spoke with someone who is doing the Hood in August. I didn't catch his name and am wondering if anyone has a contact for him.

Water levels on the Petawawa were higher than memory for the May Long weekend,
at Rollway Rapid the House Rock at the ledge was totally submerged by a gigantic pillow wave.
Here is a short video of Rollway wildwater fun, with friends we met on the river and us,
Jay & Frank Knaapen running last !!
We are entering Quetico Provincial Park (West of Thunder Bay) from Nym Lake on Thursday July 21st, 2011.
Planning for 12 nights on a loop generally in a South Westerly direction: to Sturgeon Lake, then Quetico Lake and return.
We have 5 and desire a 6th.
Please send e-mails to matt@torontooutdoorclub.com
Thanks.
Anyone doing a trip to the Hood this summer? If it is early enough I might be able to go.
Winter Trek from Kiosk Lake to Cedar Lake to view the spectacular
Petawawa Lower and Upper Falls Ice-capdades.

- The Missinaibi River without snow melt or rain is partially a gravel road.
- I will be soloing (with Trey) the Missinaibi in middle to late May – June 2011
- Chapleau to Dog Lake via the Budd Train, cross the Height of Land into Crooked and a quick lift into Missinaibi.
- Low water conditions (Fall 2010) in watershed had me prudently outing in Peterbell.
- Interested in gleaning knowledge, hazards, joys, gears and fears.

We are planning on canoeing the Hess River this July and are looking for information (trip report or comments) on the river. We are thinking about flying into Potter Lake and taking out at Mayo.
Specifically we are interested in timing and river detail.
Any information would be appreciated.
thanks,
