Itinerary description

Optional Palmer Rapids run and camping - Thursday August 6 afternoon/evening

Meet at Griffith outfitter Friday August 7 11:00 am  

Run shuttle to Aumonds Bay (I will try and arrange for the Griffith outfitter to run our shuttle so that we can leave cars in Griffith)

Camp at Rifle Chute or TBD slightly earlier pending other groups on river - Friday night

Camp at Crooked Rapids - Saturday night

Paddle to Griffith and take out - Sunday

 

Required Items to Bring

Should be <$100 in shuttle costs - <$20 per person estimated, bring cash

Canoeing, camping and cooking gear plus some shared camping & safety items - spreadsheet to be sent 

Canoe flotation and helmets mandatory.  1 spare paddle per boat, at least one throw bag per boat.

Meet Paddler Co Op Thursday afternoon/evening.  Or head to Greater Madawaska Canoe Rentals on the river in Griffith Friday 11 am.

I have only done Aumond's Bay to Buck Bay, so we may have to review the guidebook on the latter half of our trip

I will try and team up canoe pairs.  If we are short on boats, the Griffith outfitter or Paddle Co Op are good options
