Intermediate Whitewater Clinic May 31 - June 1

Outing Type →

The purpose of this clinic is to help paddlers who have had introductory whitewater training to improve their paddling skills. On Saturday we will paddle the Lower Madawaska where we will take an aggressive line on all the rapids doing eddy turns and jet ferries. On Sunday morning we will go to Palmers and practice basic skills. We will critique your forward and correction strokes. Tandem and solo paddlers can benefit from this clinic. We will camp at my cottage in the area.
There is no charge. I can be contacted via email . Helmets are required. . Tandem canoes must have a centre airbag properly installed. This trip is conditional on decent water levels and decent weather. The water will be cold that weekend so wetsuits or drysuits are needed as it is very unlikely that participants will remain dry all day.
