Itinerary description

This is serious whitewater river and as such,we are  looking for paddlers with good CIII experience, and good with planning a 3-4 day back country trip.  We will be shuttling to Lac Benoit beginning and will take 4-5 days to work our way to the ottawa  River watershed.  A side visit to check out the Eagles nest and Fildegrande river. We will paddle 4-6 tandem boats and share meal preparation.  This is an Intermediate WW  trip, for people who want to learn how to do   It will be challenging and a lot of fun as well.

We will travel to shuttle location in quebec north of the Swisha the day after Canada day and start the car shuttle to our put in.  We will then make our way down the river to where it eventually joins the ottawa River. If the river is calm we will canoe to the shuttle driver start area. If rough we can get a boat lift back to return to our cars.

This is not an expensive trip!  I expect the entire cost  will cost us around $275 each or less (includes shuttle and zec fees)  We would like to check out the fine work of the Friends of Dumoiine, (Fod) We can work out meals before the event. Could do individual freeze dried etc but we are willing to be flexible as a team. We will also get a tour at the grande chute cabin.

Required Items to Bring

Rain gear, canoes and gear, dry bags, extra gear and food storage gear, safety throw kits, we have a rescue kit and we need a first aid kit for the team.We will create an excel sheet for details.Share your river WW knowledge with the leads Tab and Larry during sign on. Water filtering gear and Nalgene bottles etc  and food gear. Bug nets, sunscreen, hydration tabs.each canoe needs a safety throw bag. We could use a second rescue kit as well.

Recommended Items to Bring

Sites are small so if we can share/ double on tents it will assist. As we get to the details level we will ensure we are not bringing excess gear.
