Join us for an early spring day trip on the Bighead River in Meaford, ON.
This section of the Bighead River starts with a couple kilometers of fast moving flat water. After a few Cl I features, the river turns into increasingly complex Cl I boulder gardens, with a few sporty Cl II rapids. After a very gradual build, the last several kilometres of this river are action-packed. There are a number of sweepers along the shoreline, none of which are particularly difficult to avoid to the wary paddler
This is a run suitable for novices at the high end of the WCA classifications, ready to start tackling intermediate level sections and above.
