Hiking Weekend in Duntroon

Outing Type →

Join us (Diane Lucas, Rick Sabourin, Bruce & Beth Bellaire, Barb & Dave Young) for a weekend of hiking Nov 1st to 3rd. We will stay at the farmhouse at Highlands Nordic in Duntroon (www.highlandsnordic.on.ca) and hike Kolapore on Saturday. The hike will be about 4-5 hours long with a stop for lunch and a drop out point for those who want a shorter hike. For Sunday, we will hike the Keyhole trail or the Standing Rock trail. Either of these could be 2-3 hours or shorter and then back to the farmhouse for lunch of leftovers. Accommodation is dormitory style and the cost dependent on the number of participants but should be approximately $50/person. The farmhouse has a sauna to soothe those hiking muscles. You will provide your own food including a pot luck dinner on Saturday night. Arrival time is usually around 4:00 or later on Friday. Maximum of 16 people.
