Puzzle Lake is made up of rugged and diverse Canadian Shield terrain. It is composed of a mosaic or rock barrens, igneous cliffs, dry-mesic mixed forest and numerous wetlands and lakes.
The goal is to explore this non-operating park by canoe and hiking. There will be some bushwhacking on this trip, would you expect any thing else from me? Our plan is to meet at the put-in at 11 am on Friday morning. Yes you must take Friday as a vacation day. Then head in about ~5K and set-up our base camp. Friday afternoon do a day pack canoe/hike explore or some fishing. Saturday explore will involve a 10-15k daypack/canoe explore and returning to camp that night. Sunday will be find something to do (fish, hike, canoe, explore). Exit late Sunday afternoon in time for a supper at one of the towns heading back home.
Canoe and camping gear. If you do not have a canoe, I will attempt to connect you to someone that does. If you do not have a partner same.
