Nellie Lake Loop, Killarney Provincial Park

This is a 4-day loop to Nellie Lake, Killarney Provincial Park. Nellie Lake is the clearest lake in Killarney that one can see the bottom through approximately 20 meters of water. Instead of traveling from the popular Bell Lake access point which takes 3-4 days one way to get to Nellie Lake, we will start at the northwest entrance of Killarney PP which is more isolated and far less used than the other access points. The mountain range is more rugged but more scenic than the hills to the south. There are four portages, three of them are difficult: 1745m, 2085m and 1470m. The last one is 210m. The route is: Frood Lake - Grace Lake (1st night) - Nellie Lake (2nd & 3rd night) - Murry lake - Charlton Lake. We leave at around 5:00pm on Friday July 19th. It takes about five hour drive from Toronto to Widgawa Lodge where we will launch the next day. We can either camp at the lodge (a fee will apply) or find a crown land nearby for the night. We expect to end the trip by 5:00pm on Tuesday, July 23rd, then head home. Cost: Food, gas, parking, lodge (if occurred) and the standard interior camping fee. I will ask for a $40 deposit to cover the three-night comping fee when time gets closer to confirm your attendance.
