Super Easy Weekend Get-Away at Crab Lake

If you are looking for a super relaxing weekend get-away but yet not losing some sense of wilderness, or if you want to show a youngster or someone who never had canoeing experience what it feels like to shoulder everything on your back, or if you want to catch monster-sized bass, Crab Lake is a gem. It's located on the east side of Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park, just a couple of hours' drive from Toronto, and one hour paddle from Wolf Lake Access Point with only one 107m portage.

We will meet at 12:00pm Saturday at the access point, and expect to reach the camp site at around 2:00pm (the earliest time we can check in). The rest of the day is yours. I will make dinner and cook breakfast eggs for everyone (you may opt out if you prefer to eat your own food). We will leave the camp site at 2:00pm the next day, but you can choose to leave any time you want.

I will ask for a $25 deposit pp (to cover the reservation and food) when time gets closer. No canoe rental on site. So the priority will be given to those who can bring canoes or are able to provide carpool.
