In partnership with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), celebration events will be hosted at Toronto’s two major rivers with national designations: the Rouge and the Humber rivers. Come and experience the natural beauty of these ancient watersheds, and learn about their human history stretching back thousands of years. Both events will offer the public a unique opportunity to paddle the rivers in a canoe, for free. Come to be inspired by the past and appreciate a new the natural wonders of Toronto’s nationally significant rivers.

Rouge Beach Park
August 20, 2017, 10 am to 4 pm
This free paddling event at Rouge National Urban Park will celebrate Canada's 150th birthday with opportunities to paddle and learn about the unique history of the largest national urban park in Canada. Boating equipment and safety professionals will be on site to guide your paddling experience.
Rouge River Park provides an incredible opportunity for inexperienced paddlers to learn how to paddle a canoe in slow moving water and beautiful surroundings.
