Volunteers Needed: Paddle the Don; Sunday May 6, 2018

Outing Type →

Once a year, Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) provides a unique opportunity for people to paddle the Don River. Manulife Paddle the Don is all about having fun, enjoying nature, and celebrating the Don River watershed. The WCA has supported this event for many years and TRCA relies on our expertise and experience. For 2018 we are looking for volunteers to help coordinate the portages at each weir, to act as a communication lead, and to help coordinate the Scouts. Volunteers will require a Vulnerable Sector Screening that has been completed during the last three years (TRCA will reimburse the cost if you don't have this). All volunteers will receive the Paddle the Don swag (a hat, and this year we are looking into cell phone dry bags), as well as lunch.
