Red Cross Remote First Aid | Public Course

Outing Type →

Wilderness and remote environments require specialized skills, equipment and training. Whether you are an outdoor recreation enthusiast, live or work in a wilderness or remote setting, or work as a professional rescuer — Red Cross offers specialized training to meet your needs.

This 20hr certified wilderness first aid program is hosted at Campsite #3 in Frontenac Provincial Park.  We start on Friday night with a meet&greet and get into it after breakfast Saturday.  When the sun finally sets we do a scenario in the dark and call it a day.  Sunday we get going again after breakfast wrapping up the course with a final scenario after lunch.  All who were patients on Saturday are rescuers on Sunday.

This Red Cross is taught by an instructor who happens to be an avid whitewater guy and canoe tripper.

No rating: All are welcome, Beginner to Advanced.
