This will be the third and last day trip for this year before the water level normally begins to decline. The total time normally averages about 6 to 8 hours including the shuttle time duration. A total of 8 rapids after an hour of flatwater paddling.

Itinerary description

Meeting location will be at the entrance to Madawaska Canoe Rentals or at the chip stand corner intersection in downtown Quadeville (a few metres apart) on Sunday, August 3rd at 9:00 AM. We will go to Almond`s Bay put-in afterwards.

Required Items to Bring

Wearing a helmet and a reliable PFD are compulsory. Paddles, throwrope, airbags and bailers for canoes, shirts for enclosed kayaks, your own lunch, drinking bottle, good footwear, drybag.

Recommended Items to Bring

comfortable wearing, sunscreen waterproof camera or other waterproof items, change of clothes after trip.

How to Get There
Event Directions

Hwy 115 north from 401 to Peterborough, east on Hwy 7 shortly, left on Hwy 28 to Bancroft and beyond, continue on Cty Rd 514 beyond Hardwood Lake, at stop sign turn right to Quadeville on Cty Rd 515 or turn left to camp at Jessop or Paddler Co-Op campground beyond Palmer Rapids.

Our shuttle begins at Almond`s Bay put-in to drop off one or more vehicles at Buck Bay take-out before returning to Almond`s Bay for boat launching.
