If you share our love for wild places and the canoe as a means of exploring them, then we invite you to join us.

To receive the Nastawgan journal and participate in club outings, please sign up online (preferred) or print and complete the application form, then follow the instructions below. Cost is CDN $35 for a single membership and $45 for a family (US $35 or US $45 for non-residents of Canada). This membership will also allow you to vote at meetings of the Association. This membership is valid for one year. Multiple year option is available.

Single membership includes:

  • Regular email communications about club activities to one email address
  • Access to members only section of website
  • Ability to organize and/or participate in club outings, events and social activities
  • Preference for access to outings that are full (members have preference over non/members & guests)
  • Receive the Nastawgan journal
  • Ability to participate in and post forum discussions
  • Access to WCA map library (ability to sign out maps)
  • Ability to bring one guest on up to 2 outings per year
  • Partner match (ability to find partners for club outings)
  • One vote at AGM
  • Insurance coverage for trip organizers (under club liability insurance)

Family membership includes:

  • Everything included in a Single Membership plus
  • Ability to bring your spouse and children under age 21 (who are living with you) on any club outings and events in which you are participating
  • Ability to add up to 10 family names and emails that you want to receive WCA announcements
  • One vote per family member at AGM

WCA Expiry date is March 31 of each year:

If you sign up for a one year membership for this year your expiry date will then be March 31 of the following year.

Example 1; Sign up January 1 of this year your expiry date will be March 31 of next year

Example 2; Sign up August 1 of this year your expiry date will be March 31 of next year.

Payment options:

If you chose to pay online (preferred) with credit card, you will be granted membership privileges immediately. This is the most efficient method for you and us to ensure all the members contact information is correctly inputted.

If you chose to pay by mail, submit your application form, we accept both cheque or credit card. Processing of the mail in form and payment process typically takes a few weeks.
